Antares A&D’s solutions enhance both technical performance and the efficiency of post-flight processes, including DVR data extraction
ISSUE
During the 2013 Maple Flag exercise, the A-29 fleet’s DVR system required maintenance due to a significant issue with download speed. It took approximately 3 to 4 hours to retrieve the data needed for a debriefing after a 2-hour flight. Additionally, the system’s reliance on a specialized, non-portable download unit further complicated logistics.
SOLUTION
In addition to increasing download speed, Antares streamlined the information retrieval and preprocessing process by introducing a new debriefing unit. This unit allows data to be extracted directly via USB into the computer where the analysis will be conducted.
RESULTS
Antares A&D has established a dependable product for the A-29, enhancing logistical efficiency with a more practical approach to data extraction. The process is now faster and simpler, significantly reducing the time required for extraction and preprocessing in the data chain.
